Pre-School in Isleworth: Nurturing kids with immense love and care

The Learning Tree as a whole has embraced the Forest Schools programme. The team has taken up training to ensure that all of the children in our Early Years setting benefit from being outdoors. Regardless of the weather our children are introduced to having fun and learning by exploring their natural environment. Our dedicated staff is currently being trained by Bridgewater College in Somerset to become Forest School Leaders. Bridgwater College is the pioneer of the Forest School concept in the UK. In 1993, a team from Bridgwater College visited Denmark on an exchange visit and were inspired by the encouragement the Danish schools give to outdoor activities. On their return to Somerset, they set up the Forest School - the first of its kind in the UK - which has now become widely accepted across the country as a valuable mode of learning for all ages.

The Learning Tree is an ideal environment for introducing children and families to enjoy the experience of play and education outdoors

Our pre-school in Isleworth promotes learning from outdoor play. We are strong advocates of the concept of Forest Schools. Hence our children are learning to risk assess their play area. They are creating small fires, heating water and sawing wood and climbing trees, safely. We ensure each individual is safe, happy and healthy. To improve our services further, staff continually undergo additional training to ensure that all our children’s needs are met.

Comments about our Child and Baby day Care in Isleworth

“As a visiting professional, I have found the staff at The Learning Tree fantastic. They have been great at following through with the speech and language advice I have given. I have been able to achieve so much with the children I have been working with because of all the great follow-up work staff carry out between my visits. Thank you to all staff for your hard work with the children.”
