Autumn/Winter

Further notes….

Please note that we work within the guidelines of the Early Years Foundation Stage. This means that we treat each child with equal concern.
We request that parents/families contribute with ideas to maintain an interesting and varied menu for our children. What we offer on our menus is in keeping with the national guidelines.

If parents wish for their child to eat an alternative we kindly ask that an alternative is provided from home.
Parents/families are reminded not to provide any foods in packed lunches which contain any kind of nuts. We have children in the setting who suffer from nut allergies.

We are advised to request that children attending the setting who are aged less than 9 months are provided food from home, unless they have been fully weaned.

We are happy to work with parents to ensure that all children over 9 months are being encouraged to eat the meals we offer.
Water is accessible to our children throughout the day. We encourage our children to help themselves to water from the designated area.

Please bear in mind that an alternative meal will sometimes be provided if produce has not been available on our weekly shopping. We will ensure that the alternative is suitable for all our children. We will also ensure that allergies are kept in mind.

Full fat and semi-skimmed milk is now accessible at all times. Semi-skimmed milk is provided for all over twos and full fat milk is provided to under twos.
Formula milk is available for children aged under one year.
The Learning Tree has a policy not to serve any foods which contain pork or beef. All meat is halal.
